5,000 U.S. Troops Killed in Iraq and Afghanistan
When Will Our Leaders Learn That
War And Occupation Is Not The Answer?
Dear Friends,
We have reached another tragic marker in the misguided Iraq and
Afghanistan occupations.
The deaths today of four U.S. troops killed by two roadside bombs bring
the total number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan to 5,000.
When will our leaders learn that continued occupation and increases in
troop levels in Afghanistan will only cause more violence and suffering
in these war-torn countries? It will only create increased loss of U.S.
lives, and prolonged suffering by the people of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Occupation and U.S. military presence in these countries only creates
more anti-American hatred and delays the political and diplomatic
agreements necessary for a stable future for Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sincerely,
Ira Harritt
